1. Introduction
Welcome to the World Talent Economy Forum’s corporate profile. These are the terms and conditions governing your access to and use of the website wteforum.org and its related sub-domains, sites, services and tools (the “Site”). By accepting these terms and conditions (including the linked information herein), and by using the Site, you acknowledge that you agree to comply with these terms and conditions with the WTEF (“we”, “us”. WTEF or “wteforum.org”) in relation to your use of the Site (the “User Agreement”).
This User Agreement is effective upon acceptance. If you do not agree to be bound by this User Agreement, please do not access, register with or use this Site. Before you may become or continue as a participant in WTEF activities through this Site, you must read, agree with and accept this User Agreement and WTEF Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). You should read this User Agreement and the Privacy Policy and access and read all further linked information referred to in this User Agreement, as such information contains further terms and conditions that apply to you as a user of wteforum.org. Such linked information, including but not limited to the Privacy Policy, is hereby incorporated by reference into this User Agreement.
2. Electronic Communications
You agree that we may communicate with you by email or by posting notices on the Site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically will satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing. WTEF requires your agreement during the registration process to send you promotional emails to let you know about any new changes, features, or promotional activities added to the Site.
3. Amendments to this User Agreement
You acknowledge and agree that wteforum.org shall endeavor to give you notice for any amendment to this User Agreement that materially increases your obligations or decreases your rights under the User Agreement (“Substantial Amendment”) in accordance with the terms of this User Agreement. You acknowledge and agree that wteforum.org, at its sole discretion and without liability, may make amendments that are not Substantial Amendments without your further specific agreement at any time with immediate effect by posting a notice of the amendment on the Site.
4. Fees and Safe Pay
WTEF requests you to review the fees that you will be charged for based on our Fees, which we may amend from time to time with immediate effect by posting the changes on the Site. WTEF may choose to temporarily change the fees for our services for promotional events (for example, new activities).You must pay all fees payable to WTEF as set out in our Fees.
The WTEF Safe Pay system means that payment on the Site may be made online. Wteforum.org is merely facilitating the making of online payments.
Important Notice: WTEF does not offer fee waivers. A full fee is required for participation. A discount is only available to loyal members as shown below. Discounts are only available to WTEF scientific committee members and/or staff professors of co-host universities. WTEF offers them a discount of 25% for each paper submitted.
5. Your Information
You grant WTEF a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable (through multiple tiers) right to use any information or material, personal or otherwise, that you provide to us or other users of the Site and/or post on the Site in the registration, in the feedback area or through any e-mail or by way of any other feature or use of the Site “Information”, for the purposes of operating and promoting the Site in accordance with this User Agreement and the Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for the Information, and we act as a passive conduit for your online distribution and publication of the Information.
6. Copyright
All content included on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations and software, is the property and copyright work of either WTEF, its users, its content suppliers or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademarks, patents or other intellectual property rights and laws. The compilation of the content on the Site is the exclusive property and protected by copyright, trademarks, patents or other intellectual property rights and laws.
7. Privacy
WTEF takes reasonable measures (physical, organizational and technological) to safeguard against unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information and to safely store your personally identifiable information. However, the Internet is not a secure medium, and the privacy of your personal information can never be guaranteed. WTEForum.org has no control over the practices of third parties (e.g. website links to this Site or third parties who misrepresent themselves as you or someone else). You agree that WTEForum.org may process your personal information that you provide to it for the purposes of providing the services on WTEForum.org and for sending marketing communications to you, and that the Privacy Policy of this Site governs our collection, processing, use, and any transfer of your personally identifiable information.
8. Commitment
Upon your agreement on these terms and conditions, you will be accepting to comply with the rules of academic writing determined by WTEF as well as the style of printing, and that you accept all the rules and respond positively to any amendment required by WTEF’s scientific and reviewing committees. In addition, you conform to any notes and carry out any procedure required by WTEF to guarantee that your research paper is scientifically and correctly published.
9. Conference proceedings
Upon your agreement on these terms and conditions, you will be accepting to comply with the rules of publishing, understanding that the content material becomes a property to WTEF, and that you are not expected to publish it in any other journal or present it at any other conference.
10. Awards
WTEF is committed to offer certificates to authors for publishing their paper and other internationally accredited certificates of your attendance and participation in any workshop, training course, or any educational service after full payment of fees. WTEF has the right to insert its name and logo in any scientific consultancy done for others.
11. Publishing Agreements
We are required to obtain copyright of papers published by WTEF from their authors for the term of copyright, and we would require you to confirm your acceptance by signing and returning the agreements detailing said requirements. Your acceptance includes permission for us to use all or part of the figures, diagrams or photos which may be included as part of a book cover design, or for promotional materials. WTEF may publish your work in hard copies or in electronic formats, or as part of a compilation of work, or in any other publication during the term of the copyright.
We will not withhold permission for any reasonable request from you to publish parts of this paper in connection with any other work by you, provided that the usual acknowledgements are given regarding copyright notice and reference to the original publication.
If it is appropriate, the author’s employer may sign this agreement and, in any event, the employer may reserve the right to use the paper internally or for promotional purposes only, by indicating on this agreement.
The author warrants that the paper is the author’s original work and has not been published before (if excerpts from copyrighted works, figures, diagrams, photos, trademarks or other such materials are included, the author will obtain written permission from the copyright owners and show credit to the sources in the manuscript). The author also warrants that the paper describes genuine research or review work, contains no libellous or unlawful statements and does not infringe on the rights of others. WTEF may assign any or all of its rights and obligations under this agreement.
If the work was prepared jointly, the author agrees to inform co-authors of the terms of the agreement and to sign on their behalf.
12. Cancellation & Refunds
Delegates who cancel their registration due to special circumstances more than 60 days before the start of the meeting and do not have a paper Published in the proceedings will receive a complete refund minus the list Price of the conference proceedings and 20% administration charge. Fees Remain payable in full for cancellations received within 60 days of the Start of the meeting, even if the delegate is unable to attend or send a representative. On receipt of the fees, a copy of the proceedings will be provided. Delegates who cancel their registration and whose papers are published in the proceedings will receive a copy of the proceedings in lieu of their registration fees being refunded.
We strongly advise that if you need a visa to attend this conference you apply as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment. Please notice that we will endeavour to assist you in obtaining a visa but the responsibility is yours and the decision rests solely with the appropriate Embassy. By submitting this form, we understand that you are agreeable to receiving further information on this event and other activities which we believe will interest you.
13. Providing Feedback
WTEF encourages members/participants on the Site to provide feedback on each other’s conduct after a transaction has closed; as this helps all users know what it is like to deal with the said members/participants. Your feedback will be displayed along with your user ID on the Site. You cannot retract the feedback once you have left it. WTEForum.org will not be responsible or liable in any way for the feedback that you post on the Site. You agree not to make comments that are not factual in nature including without limitation making any racist comments, using profanity, abusing another user, disrespecting another culture or any other derogatory or inappropriate comments. You further agree not to post feedback in order to solicit sales outside of the Site and not to display contact information of any person within any feedback. If you continuously receive negative feedback ratings, without prejudice to any other rights and remedies of WTEF under this User Agreement or at law, WTEF reserves the right to suspend, limit or withdraw your access to the Site and/or your membership of the Site. You acknowledge and agree that your feedback consists of comments left by other users with whom you transact and a composite feedback number compiled by WTEF, and that together these convey your full user profile. As feedback ratings are not designed for any purpose other than for facilitating trading between the users, you agree that you shall not market or export your WTEForum.org feedback rating in any venue other than on the Site. WTEF does not provide the technical ability to allow you to import feedback from other websites to the Site because a composite number, without the corresponding feedback does not reflect your true online reputation within our community.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold WTEForum.org and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents and suppliers harmless from any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, expenses (including reasonable legal costs and expenses), howsoever suffered or incurred due to or arising out of your breach of this User Agreement.
15. Relationship and Notice
None of the provisions of this User Agreement shall be deemed to constitute a partnership or agency between you and WTEForum.org and you shall have no authority to bind WTEForum.org in any manner whatsoever. Except as explicitly stated otherwise, any notices to WTEForum.org from you shall be given by you by email to WTEF at presidentWTEForum@gmail.com with a hard copy sent to us by mail or courier, by return email. Any notices to you from WTEF.org shall be given by notices posted on the Site or by email to the email address you provide to us during the registration process and shall be deemed to be received by you 48 hours after any such email is sent.
16. General
If any clause of this User Agreement shall be deemed invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, such clause shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses of this User Agreement. This User Agreement (as amended from time to time in accordance with the terms of this User Agreement) sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and WTEF.org with respect to the subject matter hereof. No person who is not a party to this User Agreement shall have any right to enforce any term of this User Agreement. If this User Agreement is translated into any language other than English, whether on the Site or otherwise, the English text shall prevail.
17. Governing Law
This User Agreement is governed by, and construed in accordance with, Malaysia law. This clause will survive any expiry or cancellation of this User Agreement for any reason.
